QUALITY CONTROL & COMPLIANCE
Food-Grade Plastic Packaging Compliance: FDA, LFGB & SGS
Food-grade plastic packaging compliance is product- and market-specific. We help buyers identify the documents required for the selected resin, container, intended contents and destination before an order is confirmed.
Match documents to the selected product
FDA food-contact, LFGB, SGS test reports, BPA-free declarations and other documents must match the material, product and intended use. We review the available file scope rather than applying one claim to every item.
Check the factory and quality process
An ISO 9001 certificate, where applicable, should match the certificate holder, manufacturing scope and validity period. Buyers can also discuss incoming material, in-process and final inspection requirements.
Approve samples and specifications
A report does not replace application testing. Confirm the sample, dimensions, closure, sealing, contents, filling conditions and destination requirements before bulk production.

Compliance questions
Is every product FDA or LFGB compliant?
Compliance is confirmed for the selected product and document scope. Ask for the applicable report before using the claim in your market.
Does SGS tested mean SGS certified?
Not necessarily. SGS may issue a test report for defined samples and methods. The exact document title and scope should be stated accurately.
Can you provide ISO 9001 information?
Factory quality-system information can be shared where applicable. Confirm the certificate holder, manufacturing scope and current validity for the project.
